Your Skills and Employability Coordinator is here to offer free one to one advice and support to help you to access training, work, work experience or volunteering. We have many links with training providers and employers. Email socialvalue@placesforpeople.co.uk
Wellbeing Co-ordinator
Our wellbeing co-ordinator can help you with practical advice and access to activities or programmes of support to meet your individual needs for example social or sports activities, or activities and projects to help you to manage your mental health and wellbeing.
We can keep in touch for an agreed period of time to ensure you make good progress against your individual goals. Contact wellbeingmatters@placesforpeople.co.uk to arrange an initial chat.

Befriending Service (run by Shape Linc Line)
Our National Befriending Service provides weekly telephone calls to customers. Often it’s just good to have a regular friendly chat but the Shape Link Line volunteers can also help you to find support on a range of practical or wellbeing issues if needed. Live Online Training Courses
These courses are run for us by WEA. Courses run on Canvas, an online platform that provides you with information, course materials and support. Each session on Canvas is tutor led and live, so you can interact with tutors and everyone else in the group during the sessions.
Tutor led courses cover all sorts of topics such as digital skills, crafts, mental health awareness and budgeting. Sessions and are regularly updated with more options. To express an interest email inclusion@placesforpeople.co.uk or text Digital to 07825 045 138 and someone will call you back.
English, Maths & Digital Qualifications
Our partners WEA offer free courses at a variety of levels in English, Maths and Digital including qualifications that are delivered through an online Zoom classroom enabling you to study for a functional skills qualification with full tutor support in the comfort of your own home. You may need to talk to a member of staff and do an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you.

Beginners 1:1 Digital Support
We have contracted ‘We are Digital’ to offer support for people who are new to getting online. This could be help with setting up a digital device and email address, or how to navigate the internet and build confidence to be independent online. All support is on a 1 to 1 basis, absolute beginners are welcome to sign up. In some cases, we can help with access to equipment.

Places Online Learning
Online learning designed by Places for People to help with subjects such as, Budgeting and Personal Money Management, Noise Matters (which looks at what is “nuisance noise”) and Mental Health and Wellbeing. Email skillsemployment@placesforpeople.co.uk.
