Level 5 Housing Qualification
Our level 5 qualification is designed to explore the contextual and specialised knowledge for the housing manager. On completion of a qualification at this level, you can become a chartered member of CIH.
Who's it for?: This qualification is designed for those working in or aspiring to a strategic housing management role in housing.
Delivery Model: A blended learning approach with a mixture of face-to-face, online learning, and self-led learning.

Learning Time:
There are two delivery and assessment models available, depending on the individual's level of experience.
Experienced Professional Route is aimed at Senior Leaders and C-Suite
Executives who have at least 2 years' experience at senior management level and hold a Level 4 or above relevant qualification. It will involve:
- Completion of a portfolio of evidence with relevant case studies reflecting your role and experience to date
- A formal professional discussion/interview that evidences your knowledge, understanding and application of the core modules within the Diploma
Senior Management Route is aimed at those in a management or leadership position without prior formal qualifications.
It will be a blended learning programme combining face-to-face, online, and self-led learning in order to demonstrate the required levels of knowledge and understanding. Content will include:
- 8 face-to-face one-day / online workshops.
- 9 online professional discussions.
- 7 directed activities, such as data analysis, research, and reading.
- 7 assignments.
Assessment Methods
A variety of methods, including tasks, portfolios, assignments and professional discussions.
