Use your Energy Bills Support vouchers for prepayment meters before 30 June 2023

The Energy Bill Support Scheme gave every household a £400 discount on their energy bills for winter 2022 to 2023. This scheme ended in March 2023.

Households with prepayment meters should have received six Energy Bills Support vouchers worth £66 or £67 from their energy providers. In total, these vouchers are worth up to £400 – please use them as soon as possible and don’t miss the deadline when they expire on 30 June 2023.

How to use the voucher

To use the Energy Bills Support voucher, you will need to take your voucher to a Post Office or PayPoint shop to add it to your gas or electricity top-up key or card. Vouchers issued by your energy supplier are only valid for 90 days.

What to do if you did not receive a voucher or have lost your voucher

If you’ve not received your voucher, lost it, or has a date on it which has expired – please contact your energy supplier straight away and ask for a new one. They can reissue it to you. You need to do this in time to be able to use it before 30 June 2023.

If the voucher was sent by post previously, you can ask your supplier to send it by email or text message to make sure you get your voucher by 30 June 2023.
