03 March 2025
PfP Group, the leading UK social enterprise, has appointed former CEO of Homes England and housing and real estate investment leader, Peter Denton, to its Group Board.
Peter joins the PfP Board after a successful executive career in which, before leading Homes England, he was CEO of housing association The Hyde Group. Prior to this, Peter spent 25 years in pan-European real estate investment management and banking in strategic leadership roles at organisations including Starwood Capital, BNP Paribas, Barclays and Deutsche Bank. Peter is also a non-executive member of the Real Estate Investment Committee at Eurazeo, a Council member and Chair of the Finance Committee at Marlborough College, and a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
Commenting on Peter’s appointment, Chair of PfP Group Richard Gregory said:
“I am delighted to welcome Peter to the board of PfP where I am sure he will make a very significant contribution as we do our utmost to meet the UK housing challenge. Peter brings invaluable skills and experience from his senior roles in UK and European housing , placemaking and real estate investment, including at Homes England and the Hyde Group.”
Peter Denton added:
“I joined the housing sector because I care deeply about addressing the terrible housing challenge our country faces and, specifically, because I wanted to help get children out of temporary accommodation, the number of which is now a staggering 160,000. PfP is a social enterprise entirely focused on creating and supporting thriving Communities directly tackling the scourge of homelessness. I look forward to playing my part to help them deliver on this.”
Greg Reed, Group CEO of PfP also said:
“With Peter’s appointment, our strong, experienced, and dynamic Board just got even stronger. Peter has done it all, as investment leader, as social landlord, in public service and now PfP, our Customers, our Communities, and our partners will feel the benefit of the breadth and depth of Peter’s experience. It’s a good day for us, and a real step forward.”
