Scotland rent review 2022

– 1 min read

Varied increase for fairness and to improve affordability

From April 2022, rents for our customers will increase by a range of 0% to 3.9%. This will mean an increase of between £0 and £6.57 a week.

Our annual rent review process follows guidance from the Scottish Housing Regulator and balances affordability with our ability to deliver a range of services and to maintain and improve homes. In the review we measured affordability and found that it improved across our portfolio with a flexible approach.

We are focused on what customers have told us are their priorities and we must be financially strong to deliver our planned investment programme, to maintain and improve the quality of our services and make a positive impact in our communities.

In the financial year 2022-2023, we are planning to invest approximately £17 million to improve the quality and energy efficiency of existing properties. We will support new projects to support new and existing tenancies, the wellbeing of customers and focus on our presence in our neighbourhoods. We will build over 300 new homes.
