In response to the climate emergency, we’ve created Unlock Next Gen in partnership with Unlock Net Zero and Youth Charter.
Unlock Next Gen is a brand-new hub for young people to get involved with, make their voices heard, and take action against climate change.
The community, led by a team of young eco-enthusiasts across Places for People, officially launches today, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the team can achieve.
What is Unlock Next Gen?
Unlock Next Gen is set to act as a platform for young people across the UK to share their views on the environment and sustainability issues, discuss solutions, take action and encourage decision makers to make big changes to protect our planet. The team will do this through a monthly podcast and regular blogs on the hub’s site and everyone is invited to get involved.
Key areas of focus include biodiversity, renewable energy, reducing waste, cutting down water use and sustainable transport, and guest speakers will be joining the team for their monthly discussions on these topics.
There’s plenty more to come from the hub, with exciting events and projects set to be revealed over the coming months.
