Places for People has scooped Gold in two categories at the International Brilliance Awards.

Organised by BOC Global Event Group, the awards recognise the best in internal communications, human resources and marketing campaigns from businesses around the world. The winners were announced at a gala dinner at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel.

Places for People achieved Gold awards in the Best Social Media Campaign and Brilliance in Employee Engagement in Internal Communications categories.

People First

Our social media activities were recognised for their role in improving our online presence and demonstrating our People First approach. Launched around six core themes, our strategy has helped to transform our social media channels, significantly enhancing engagement and ensuring our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

The Group’s People First approach was also the driver behind the Brilliance in Employee Engagement in Internal Communications accolade. Supported by specialist training and innovative digital tools, People First is empowering colleagues to do what is right for our customers. This approach is improving engagement across the Group, making colleagues feel valued and enhancing their and our customers’ experiences.

Customers and colleagues first

"Our success at the Brilliance Awards is a testament to the fantastic work across Places for People in putting our customers and colleagues first in everything we do. Since the launch of our People First Strategy, more than 7,000 colleagues have attended workshops and People First related news stories have achieved 9,900 views on our intranet.”

Deborah Owen-Ellis Clark, Director of Marketing, Places for People

“This has been a great evening of excitement and celebration, seeing the best in the business recognised and rewarded after such turbulent times. Everyone should be proud of the immense positive impact they’ve had on employees, businesses and communities across the UK.”
