We are proud to be celebrating two wins at this year’s Inspiring Workplaces Awards.
The event is a fantastic opportunity for inspiring workplaces to be celebrated, and highlights the organisations and their employees who go the extra mile to make a difference.
Thousands of workplaces across the world have been recognised at the awards since 2014, and the Places for People Group is extremely proud to be one of them.
Inspirational leaders, inspiring workplaces
Announced at a virtual event on 15 July, our Group Executive Director - Affordable Housing, Debi Marriott-Lavery, was awarded Gold for the title of Inspiring Professional of the Year.
With her inspiring leadership and endless dedication to improving people’s lives, Debi is someone who takes the time to have real conversations about important topics, who listens to understand and champions solutions to real issues all geared towards making a positive difference to customers, communities and colleagues in the workplace.
In an extraordinary year, Debi steered the business through the pandemic and has supported people to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues throughout.
Her dedication to innovation and care doesn’t end there, as Debi is a huge advocate of Emerging Talent and the Group’s programme, offering young people the chance to thrive and better themselves in a collaborative learning environment.
Commenting on both her award and the Group’s, Debi said:
“I’m so thrilled to have won Inspiring Professional of the Year and proud that Places for People was awarded the Inspiring Culture award for our People First approach; it’s so great to be recognised.
“Thank you again to our amazing team at Places for People. We are a team not because we work together, but because there’s trust, respect and we truly care about what we do.”
The Group’s second award win
The Group’s second win of the night saw our People First approach named the Gold Winner of the Inspiring Culture award.
Our People First Strategy puts customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do, by:
- continuously improving our customer experience
- using our SPIRIT values to guide all that we say and do, both internally and externally
- delivering a seamless and connected service through the eyes of our customers
- respecting our customers as individuals.
By engaging with our colleagues and providing them with tools to deliver excellent customer service, we can provide homes and communities where people can live their best lives. It’s this approach which ultimately judges saw worthy of the Inspiring Culture award.
