FAQ's - Eligibility

Who can move into Lavender View?

Apartments at Lavender View will be available to rent for Customers aged 55 and over, who have been assessed as eligible for care and support by Norfolk County Council. Priority will be given to Customers living in the local district. All applications will be discussed, and a decision agreed between the landlord, care provider and County Council.

Whilst priority will be given to Customers with eligible care needs, depending on demand, we may consider applicants who are local, over 55, and where it can be demonstrated, would benefit from being a Customer. This could include having a long-term health condition that may lead to eligible needs in the future, or their age and current needs might mean they would benefit from living in a supportive Community environment. Apartments are designed to be flexible and adaptable. We encourage everyone to visit the show apartment before registering an interest. This will be available at least three months before the completion of the housing (expected late Summer 2026).

Am I allowed pets?

Places for People Living Plus recognise that Customers may wish to keep pets in their home. Where possible, this will be supported but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Are owner-occupiers eligible to join the waiting list for Lavender View?

All of the apartments are to rent. Who moves in will be considered on an individual basis and Norfolk County Council will prioritise care needs and how the service can meet these needs. Priority will always be given to residents of the district.
