Hays Community Hub is an accessible community hub hosting a variety of services.

Location: 3 Hay Avenue, Craigmillar, EDINBURGH, EH16 4QR

 

The Hub has a range of events:

Monday

Grassroots Clothing 10am-3pm

Men's Interview clothing charity providing suits to men seeking employment is based at the Hub 3 days per week

Syrian Men's Group 3pm-5pm

Social group for local Syrian men to come together

 

Tuesday

Stitch In Time 10.30am-4pm

Tapestry and needlework groups, open to complete beginners to advanced sewers, dressmaking, tapestry work

Capability Scotland 9am-3pm

Wellbeing Sessions

Starpic Youth Project 5.15pm-7pm

Youth group for children in P3-P5 (term time)

 

Wednesday

Digital Drop-In 10am-12pm

Community members can come and use the computers 

Hays Community Pantry 11am-2pm

PfP in partnership with Community Renewal. Food at affordable prices, customers can get around £15 worth of food for £3, 

AdvoCard Drop In 11am-1pm

Advocacy for those with addiction or mental health issues (every two weeks)

Employability, Benefits and Housing Advice with Community Renewal 10am-1pm

The team will be available every two weeks to provide support and advice

Thursday

Coffee Morning 10am-1pm

free refreshments, computer use, books, tv and board games, open to all. We also have AdvoCard on hand to give advice every two weeks

Pet Foodbank 10am-12pm

Pop along from for free cat and dog food

Starpic Youth Project 4.30pm-6.15pm

Youth group for children in P1-P2 (term time)

 

Friday

Saturday

Multicultural Youth Group 12pm-2pm

Youth group for children aged 5-12

 

Sunday

Sudanese Community Edinburgh 10am-8pm

full day of activities including, mums and toddlers, choir, woman's group and tutoring.

 

We hold monthly housing officer and community police drop-in's and also have ad hoc information sessions from;

  • The Edinburgh Tool Library
  • Social Security Scotland
  • Forth Sector
  • Science Ceilidh
