Edinburgh Food Project - Foodbank

City of Edinburgh

During the cost of living crisis we understand more people need help for essential food, therefore Places for People have donated to various foodbank across the country to help our customers and other individuals in the community.

The Edinburgh Food Project run seven foodbanks, registered with the Trussell Trust, across Edinburgh. These foodbanks provide people with emergency food provision that covers 3 square meals for 3 days including a nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch and dinner.

They also do a lot more to support people than just provide food, as they provide a range of support including housing and employment help, the provision of toiletries and household cleaning supplies, signpost people to other agencies with free drop-in sessions, and operate their own Money Advice Service.
