Places for People has been selected as preferred bidder to
manage a £200m long-term regeneration programme for Runnymede
The Runnymede Regeneration Programme (RRP) will see
several sites re-developed across the borough over the next eight
to thirteen years, including Egham town centre.
Discussions are currently underway to finalise the RRP,
with the proposal for the first-phase of development to include
replacing Egham Leisure Centre with a new facility that will
include a swimming pool and health spa.
The contract is set to include the redevelopment of Egham
town centre. Plans will be subject to public consultation but could
comprise a new mixed-use development, including residential and
student accommodation, retail space and new cafés and
