Places for People Financial Services scoops top award for social lending

Places for People Financial Services has been awarded the special Judges' Award for Social Lending at the 2016 F5 Awards.

The awards, hosted by Credit Strategy, recognise the expertise of technological, investment and regulatory leaders in the industry.

Places for People Financial Services was presented with the accolade at the prize-giving ceremony held at The Hilton London Bankside Hotel.

Specialising in providing access to responsible and often life-changing financial products and services, Financial Services' portfolio includes; affordable loans, homes contents insurance brokerage, management of equity loans and mortgage and life cover advice.

The award comes as Places for People Financial Services celebrates its 10th  year of providing affordable loans.

"This award win is the icing on the cake and a fantastic end to a truly successful year. Not only have we reached a significant milestone in turning 10, but we've also received a 4 star rating from Defaqto for our affordable loan product and been given a 100% satisfaction rating from feedback site, Feefo.

"Places for People Financial Services was formed in order to give our customers an alternative to expensive doorstep lenders. Over the last 10 years, we've provided over £7m of lending which has saved our customers over £2m in comparison to other lenders."

This latest recognition celebrates Places for People's continued success following the Building Awards in November where the Group was named Housebuilder of the Year.
